Emily Robicheaux is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate life's challenges with confidence, resilience, and hope. She enjoys supporting clients through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, identity development, and major life transitions while equipping them with practical coping strategies that foster lasting growth.

Emily believes every person's journey is unique, which is why she takes an individualized, integrative approach to therapy. She incorporates evidence-based techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and other therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs. By creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment, Emily partners with her clients to increase self-awareness, build resilience, and create meaningful, positive change.

Before joining Hearten Counseling, Emily served as a Mental Health Counselor in the public school setting, where she supported students through emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges. She has also worked with adolescents in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, providing care for those with more complex mental health needs. In addition, Emily has experience working with adults ages 18–60 in individual therapy. Her diverse clinical background allows her to thoughtfully support individuals and families as they navigate difficult circumstances, life transitions, and relationship dynamics.

Emily understands that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, but she believes taking that first step is an act of courage and self-care. She is committed to building a genuine therapeutic relationship that both supports and challenges her clients as they work toward healing, personal growth, and emotional well-being.

Originally from northern Illinois, Emily has been married for three years and shares her home with two rambunctious dogs. Outside of the counseling office, she enjoys sewing, reading, playing video games, and gathering with friends for a game of Dungeons & Dragons.

Emily looks forward to walking alongside you as you begin your journey toward healing and growth.
